As everybody else here seems to be whining about AutoCAD, I thought I'd balance things up with something positive to say. I've used AutoCAD 2009 for a few months now and it's great.
The ribbon works well once you're used to it and the other interface changes are mostly very useful. If you don't like the interface you can put it back to the old way, unlike with Microsoft products where you have no choice. read more »

i mean thanks for the site and all but have you been taking lessons from autocad or something? the submit button takes like 30 seconds to work, i could almost load a2k9 in that time.

why does every autocad have to be slower than the last one? we pay our upgrade fees in the hope that the new version will be better than the last one, not worse. is that a difficult concept to grasp?

Autocad should fully support plotting to a pdf file. The built in dwg to pdf printer does not produce adequate pdf files. Text is plotted as graphics instead of text and file sizes are more then 5 times the size of files produced by other pdf printers.

It would be great if we had the possibility to overlay/attach images just like DWG xref's. Now, Autocad always attaches the images though the DWG structure.

Pitty we can't use the command XCLiP in a 3D model. Only in X,Y this powerfull tools can be used. Why don't you guys programm it in Z ?!
Autocad is a great tool to create 3D models. Maybe the focus could be more on powerful tool/content in stead of smooth flashy (beginner) interface tools.. read more »
